Handsome and tight first edition, signed large and bold by Sheldon in black fineline on inner flyleaf and with the Kroch's & Brentano's "First Edition Circle" bookmark laid in. This crime drama became a 3-part CBS miniseries in 1986, and this choice copy bears tipped to the front flyleaf two fine, matching heavy stock 5" X 3" cards each signed by a co-star: At top is DAVID KEITH (born 1954; portrays Daniel Cooper), who signs large and sloppy in blue ballpoint (undated, but envelope postal cancellation 30 July 1985). Below this is RICHARD KILEY (1922-99; portrays Gunther Hartog), who signs flamboyantly in black fineline (also undated, but envelope postal cancellation 18 October 1971). Original transmittal envelopes laid in. Quite an unusual copy. .
