New York, NY: G. E. Eyre and W. Spottiswoode, 1850. Leather. C1850 (the Book of Common Prayer is dated, the Bible is not). These two volumes are small format (approx. 4" x 6") and full leather. While not an exact matching set, it is a very close match. The set is in Very Good- condition and was issued without dust jackets. The spine and spine joints of the book covers are noticeably rubbed and there is a smallish tear to the bottom front spine joint, and another small tear to the front flap edge. Both books have yapped edges. The leather on both volumes is generally clean and bright. The text pages are clean and bright. All Edges Gilt (A. E. G. ) There is a chip missing from the yellow pastedown page of the Book of Common Prayer. The Bible has a long (rather faint) inscription from a previous owner on the front free page. Overall, a Good, clean copy of the pair.. Very Good- .
