Anderson, Anne - The Dandy-Andy book.

Nelson, 1913. First Edition (?). Hardcover. Hardback bound in beige cloth with orange titles and colour plate laid down to front cover, cloth has minor rubbing at corners, gift inscription on frontispiece verso dated 1915, when the owner was seven. The book has been added to by the previous owner, who has painted extra pictures on the blank pages, with poems on the opposite pages, which complement the printed ones. The pictures are very neat watercolours, and may have been copied from a different book, as I doubt the artist was old enough to be writing poetry. There are several letters laid in, from and about the previous owner, who left the book to a family friend when she died. Unpaginated (c.40 pages), 12 illustrations. Quite charming!. Fair with no dust jacket.
