Original publisher's honey-comb grain purplish-brown cloth, with gilt stamped spine lettering. [2], [17] - 350 [= 334], [2] pp. Adverts last 2 pp. Novel text double column. Woodcut portrait of Dickens, by Bobbett, as frontis. Woodcut border to t.p. after Marcus Stone's Parts issue wrapper graphics. 34 intratextual cuts after Stone. Royal 8vo. 10-3/8" x 6-1/2". A VG+ copy (spine sunned, as usual with this volume/period pos to ffep & preliminary blank). This volume edition curiously bound with 2 less illustrations than that found in the Harper Magazine issue, though without a side-by-side comparison, it is difficult to determine which were omitted by the publisher, not to mention 'why?'.
