Author listed as 'The Author of Lady Audley's Secret, Vixen, Ishamel, Wyllard's Weird etc etc' Mary Elizabeth Braddon was an English popular novelist of the Victorian Era. A Prolific writer, Braddon produced more than 80 novels, particularly of supernatural and horror fiction. This little known collection contains ten new tales including the title story Under the Red Flag. In a quarter morocco binding. Externally, sound with rubbing and wear to extremities. Front joint cracked with hinge held by one cord only. Board likely to detach in transit. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages bright, with some light scattered spotting.
