Collated, complete.The London and Birmingham Railway was one of the first major lines in Britain, completed in the 1830s and designed by Robert Stephenson. Bourne's original work features detailed lithographic plates showing: Viaducts, cuttings, tunnels, and stations alongside dramatic scenes of laborers and construction sites. This edition also includes descriptive text by John Britton.  In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Slight fading to spine. Dust wrapper, smart.
