Poem by Niccolo Forteguerri first published in the original Italian in 1738 under pseudonym Niccolo Carteromaco. Complete in two volumes. Translated to the French by A. F. Duperrier Dumouriez.  Burlesque poem in thirty cantos inspired by chivalric poems and tales. A famous work in the eighteenth and nineteenth century. Niccolo Forteguerri (1674-1735) was an Italian poet and presbyter. In uniform quarter calf bindings over paper covered boards, gilt lettering to spine. Externally lightly bumped and rubbed to boards and spine, light cracking to joints, minor loss to head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages generally bright and clean. Very Good .
