Collated, lacking folding coloured frontispiece, one coloured plates and two pages of advertisements to the rear. From Isabella Beeton, an English journalist, editor and writer who is largely associated with knowledge and authority on Victorian cooking and home management. This volume was probably the most often-consulted cookery book between 1875 and 1914.An undated edition, dated from a matching copy held at the British Library. In the original decorative cloth binding. Externally, with rubbing and bumping to the extremities. Front hinge strained and rear hinge is starting, but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound, with tenderness to part of the binding due to the front hinge and rear advertisement coming away. Lacking coloured frontispiece and two pages of advertisements to the rear. Pages are generally bright and clean, with scattered spots to the first and last couple leaves.
