 1569605494,
Oxford , Oxford University Press, 1986. First edition. Hardback. The first edition of this modern retelling of this medieval fable centred around Reynard the Fox. The first edition, first impression of this work. Published for the 'Oxford Myths and Legends' series. With the publisher's original unclipped dust wrapper.A scarce copy of this illustrated retelling of Reynard the Fox, an often deceitful character whose adventures involve cheating both people and other animals for food. This edition is illustrated vividly throughout in colour and black-and-white by Bob Dewar. In the original pictorial boards, matching with the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, with a few marks to the boards, otherwise very smart. Dust wrapper is excellent, with only minor sunning around the edges and a couple small spots to the rear panel. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Very Good Indeed . Ill.: Bob Dewar. Very Good Indeed/Near Fine.
