Produced as a part of the 'London Series of Handbooks' from Science Reviews Ltd. Undated, dated from preface and Copac. The author, Sir John Bland-Sutton, was a British surgeon. He specialised in pelvic operations on women. The preface states that this work is made 'to set down in narrative form a summary of our knowledge of the extremely common tumours known as uterine fibroids. The description includes natural history, diagnosis and the best methods of removing them.' Illustrated, with several vignette diagrams. In original limp calf binding with gilt stamping to the front board and spine. Externally, generally smart with patches of rubbing to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Light patch of rubbing to the spine. Prior owner's sticker to the front pastedown, John R Kirkup. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean throughout. Very Good Indeed .
