He crossed France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Russia, and Asia to Kamchatka on foot. In a full cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Minor marks to the boards and spine. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. A little discolouration to the spine. A small amount of cockling to the boards and spine. Small cracks to the joints. Bound without rear endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with the odd spot. Caption of the frontispiece is a little cropped, not affecting image.
