A very scarce limited edition of 150 copies, this copy being number 135. Signed to the colophon by the author and illustrator. In the original vellum binding, with gilt stamped illustration to the front board.A selection of four Welsh folk tales retold from those found in the Mabinogion, which was compiled in Middle Welsh in the 12th-13th centuries. Including 'The Quest of Tarianfrych', 'Orlac at the House of the Nine Pines', 'The Shadow of Coegfran' and 'Griffith and Bronwen&apos. Written by Welsh author and editor W. J. Townsend Collins, and arranged and decorated by Fred Richards. In the original vellum binding, with gilt stamped illustration to the front board. Externally, smart, with warping to the front board and handling marks to the vellum. Minor shelf wear. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean, with the odd handling mark or spot. A small cut-out of paper has been tipped in to the front free endpaper to cover a inscription.
