The first edition of both volumes. 'Prayers and Graces' is signed with a dedication by the editor, Allan M Laing. Laing has written a private prayer for Edward Knapp and signed it. In publisher's cloth bindings with original unclipped dustwrappers. Externally, very smart. Minor bumping to the head and tail of spines. Dustwrappers are generally smart. Small chips to the head and tail of spines of both wraps. Chip to the top of rear wrap to volume I. A few light spots externally and internally to both volumes. Prior owner's bookplate to the rear pastedown. Author's presentation inscription to the recto of front endpaper. Internally, both volumes are firmly bound. Pages are generally bright.
