Premsela was a teacher of French in Zwolle but also an untiring translator, a champion of French literature into Dutch. He usually had his books bound for ready use by a simple Dutch bookbinder. This book by Colette treats various kinds of love, especially homosexuality. It mentions a.o. Renée Vivien and the Ladies of Llangollen.
