The seventh edition of this uncommon work in a full calf binding. Illustrated with a portrait frontispiece of the author, with a facsimile of his signature. A scriptural dictionary written in Welsh by the Calvinistic Methodist clergyman Thomas Charles (1755-1814), during a time when there was a scarcity in Welsh bibles. He was an important influence in Wales, creating the concept of the Welsh Circulating Schools and encouraging the spread of Methodism. In a full calf binding. Externally sound, with rubbing to the boards, extremities, joints and spine. Leather is splitting to the joints and spine label, not affecting the lettering. Loss to the tail of the spine. Hinges are strained but the cords are holding firm. Lacking the front free end paper. Rear free end paper is detached but intact. Otherwise, internally, firmly bound.
