A selection of four very scarce works by Charles Emmanuel bound in one volume.Signed letter from Emmanuel bound before the first work, written in French, dated 31st July 1865.In the original French.Four scientific works by Charles Emmanuel.Illustrated with the occasional in-text engraving.With a half-title to each work.This volume includes:'Astronomie Nouvelle, ou, Erreurs des Astronomies', published in 1851. 'Conferences Astronomiques', published in 1860.'Les Deviations du Pendule et le Mouvement de la Terre', published in 1860. 'La Camarilla Scientifique, Lettre a M. la Verrier', published in 1865. In a quarter morocco binding with cloth to the boards. Externally, generally smart. Leather is a little rubbed, with lighter rubbed to the boards. Minor bumping to the extremities. A small amount of loss to the head and tail of the spine. Front hinge is starting but firm. Front endpaper is working loose. Letter from the author bound after the front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are a little age-toned with the occasional spot. Tide mark to the head of 'Conferences Astronomiques&apos. Ink inscription to the reverse of the half-title of 'Conferences Astronomiques&apos. Very Good . Ill.: None. Very Good .
