This is Dillmont's most popular work, translated into seventeen languages in numerous editions. Dated from the same copy held at the Victoria and Albert Museum libraries on Jisc. In the DMC Library series, this edition published in English, French, German, and Italian. Dillmont owned various shops in European capitals and was one of the most relevant pioneer in the international and multicultural enterprise of hobby needlework in the late nineteenth century.
