Graham, C. (Illustrator) - The Winters Art Lithographing Company's Popular Portfolios of the World's Columbian Exposition (1893) : No. 1 Grounds and Principal Buildings

Chicago, The Winters Art Litho. Co, 1891. Softcover. Grey pictorial wraps with illustration of Columbus and a globe; 30 pp. with half as many color lithos. Also including a set-in bw map of the exposition from a different publication. No. 1 from a series of 4 showing the proposed buildings and grounds for the 1893 exposition in Chicago. The booklets were published as architectural plans were accepted. Lovely full-page color lithos with descriptions opposite. The middle, two-page plate is described on the back page (an aerial view). This particular volume was the Compliments of Clark bros. Lamp Brass & Copperplate Co. Trenton, N.J. as printed on the front cover. The map, probably from a guidebook to the actual exposition, shows the walking path in red as well as all the eventual buildings, the railroad station, surrounding streets, etc. A lovely souvenir. Good+ some darkening and edge damage to wraps, still bound with original string binding, pages excellent .
