- African American Man Tintype Photograph

No Place, No publisher. Unbound. No indication of photographer, place or date. Photo measures roughly 3 ½ by 2 ½ inches. Presumed produced any time from the 1860s to early 1900s. PROVENANCE: none really. This came in a collection of other tintypes and cabinet card photographs of African Americans, with a few of the later photos indicating they were taken in New Orleans and Waco, Texas. There is no indication as to whether these were family photos, or photos collected by an individual. This photograph depicts a dapper young man. He is wearing a brimmed hat along with a straight cane and a watch fob visible under his coat. Studio background visible, including a chair and a faux arch. The photo is in GOOD condition. Minor soiling, a few scratches and one tiny spot of loss. General fading. Some yellowish spots of residue adhered to the left side of the photo. Left corners clipped on the diagonal. Minor wear to the reverse. Good .

We charge a media ship rate of $4.50 for the first book plus $2.00 per each additional books. We ship internationally with the US post office. Shipping rates provided upon request based on the country of receipt. Wherever possible, we ship using first class international for $25.00, or the flat rate priority envelope through the US Post which costs $35.00. Return policy:
Any book may be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund of book price. Buyer responsible for return shipping. For books misdescribed, or for wrong books sent, or any other errors on our part, we will refund book price plus return cost of shipping.
