This expedition beat Nansen's record by 35 to 40 kilometres. Prince Luigi Amedeo, the Duke of the Abruzzi, was an Italian mountaineer and explorer, known for his expeditions to Mount Saint Elias and K2. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, rubbed. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Cloth is a little discoloured with a few minor marks. Hinges are strained. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and generally clean with scattered spots, a little heavier to the first and last few pages.
