Also with the bookplate of the Signet Library, the library of the Society of Writers to Her Majesty's Signet, a private society of Scottish solicitors who at one time had special privileges in relation to the drawing up of documents which required to be signeted. The Signet Library is a Category A listed building of significant importance. In a full vellum armorial binding for Frederick Arthur Crisp, with his Coat of Arms to the rear and his bookplate to the front pastedown. Externally, very smart with just the usual handling marks and discolouration to the vellum. Bookplate of the Signet Library to the front pastedown, with an ink notation from the same to the verso of the front free-endpaper. Internally, firmly bound.
