A scarce work, which details a collection of all the declarations and resolutions published by the different counties, cities, towns and parishes. ESTC No. T17529. To the rear of this work there is an appendix containing a view of the statutes, and the repeal with remarks etc. The Papists Act of 1778 was the first Act for Roman Catholic relief. Prior to this there were several Penal Laws in Britain and Ireland which varied between jurisdictions, but mostly excluded those known to be Roman Catholic from Public Life. In a full calf binding.
