First edition, in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Very scarce. Written by American author and humorist, Dan Greenburg. This wonderful tale tells the story of a hospital mix-up in which a little boy and a baby elephant are returned to the wrong parents after birth. Each mother is a little confused, but too polite to cause a fuss. Delightfully illustrated in colour throughout by American illustrator Susan Perl. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, lovely, with light bumping to the extremities only. Dust wrapper is worn, with loss to the extremities and a few closed tears. Light soiling to the wraps, with the odd mark. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Fine . Ill.: Susan Perl.
