S. l. (San Francisco), s. n. 1950. Eight loose sheets, n. d. (mid-20th-century); 17 x 13 3/4 and 12 x 9; in color and black ink; one with a large, fold-out diagram; light creasing to corners and a few minor spots; in very good condition. A brilliant experiment in color theory, it was created by a student of the San Francisco Art Institute - founded in 1871 as one of the oldest art schools in the United States and the oldest west of the Mississippi River (provenance: previous owner) and included articulation, moving hue, secondary colors, rhytm in one direction, etc. Very good .
