Her best known work is 'Lud-in-the-Mist', which was first published by W. Collins Sons in London, in 1926 (See Bleiler, 'The Check-List of Science-Fiction and Supernatural Fiction'). It 'is a unique fantasy novel, slow moving and exquisitely written, fairly short and very much unlike the typical Tolkien rehashes of today' (George T. Dodds, SF Site Reviews). This is the first American edition. This title has been re-published numerous times, starting with a mass-market paperback in 1970. .
