(slightly foxed ¶ Contemporary annotation underneath the portrait: "Benedictinus apostata, qui deinde abjuravit." ¶ both Lodola and Cocaius are pseudonyms of Folengo. ¶ "Je crois bien que ce volume, joliment exécuté, a été imprimé, non pas en Hollande, mais à Naples. Il a, tant pour le papier que pour les caractères et les gravures, toute la physionomie d'une édition italienne; et d'ailleurs, très rare en Hollande, il se trouvait plus fréquemment en Italie."(Renouard, Catalogue de la bibliothéque d'un amateur.
