London, Illustrated London News and Sketch, Ltd, 1915. Leather. An oblong hardcover book bound in 3/4 brown leather with cloth boards. Edges lightly rubbed; boards are stained on the vertical edges. However, the interior is unmarked and the binding is tight. Good condition overall. Volume 4 from a special weekly series published by the Illustrated London News during World War I. This volume contains parts 40-52, spanning May 12 through August 4, 1915 (NOTE: The title page states a different span of issues, but the aforementioned span reflects the actual contents of this volume). A brilliant cultural and historical chronicle of the war, filled with captioned black and white photographs. Measures approx. 11.75" long x 8" tall. Good .
