.: London, Sotheby's, in-4° (two sizes), 11 parts, indexed, illustrated, with result lists, orig. cased bindings. Complete set of the illustrated catalogue of the Abbey collection which was one of the finest libraries to be auctioned in London in the '60-'70s. It was very strong in exceptional bindings (Part I-IV contain 147 plates of bindings h.t.) and mediaeval manuscripts. Major Abbey owned almost all the manuscripts of the former Hornby collection (Part 8 & 9 comprise 68 manuscripts of this collection). .
