Full calf leather with four raised bands and gilt lettering on spine, with some blind and gilt tooling on board edges and spine. Binder's label (T. Sutcliffe, Burnley) and bookplate on front pastedown. Owner's name dated 1718 on final page. Slightly more recent replacement prelims. Possibly lacking a half-title page. Pagination [(i)-(xvi)]; Part I: frontis; 1-136; Part II: frontis; (1)-395; 2pp ads. Approx. 4cm splits at head of both joints, but binding solid and secure. Some pages have faint stains at the edges.
