White cloth spine over brick red paper wrapped boards, with gilt stamped lettering to front board. 15, [1 (blank)] pp. 4 pp facsimile letter tipped-in. 8vo. 10-1/4" x 6-5/8" A look at the tiff between Dickens & Colburn, on the editorship & publishing of PIC NIC PAPERS [1841], presumably issued to benefit Macrone's widow, and from which Dickens was criticized, for Colburn's inclusion of material without attribution, and without Dickens' knowledge. Average wear, especially at the tips, withal, a Very Good copy.
