Translation from Latin into English of the Royal College of Physicians' Pharmacopoeia, providing a list of plants and their parts for use in medicines and other preparations, and recipes for mixing and compounding. The unnamed translator makes an appeal to Lord Stanhope to look into the Royal College of Physicians, which he accuses of quackery, and bring it before the Legislature for 'reformation and redress'. Staining and wear to boards. Some closed tears and creasing to pages, mostly minor at gutter, 5 cm closed tear to top edge of page 13/14, 2.5 cm closed tear to page 11, both without loss of text.
