Quarter bound in custom green/gray cloth over green pebbled cloth, spine in five compartments separated by blind-stamped spaces with dual gilt borders, gilt lettering in one compartment, all edges marbled, brown endpapers. NB: Karl Friedrich Flögel (1729 - 1788) was a German historian of culture and literature. Small bookseller's label on rep, blue stain on title page from previous endpaper, covers worn on corners and edges, one small open tear on rear panel, else near fine; otherwise unmarked, tight, square, and clean; hinges strong, pages supple.
