An amusing story about Deedee, a small Chinese boy, written for American children. Along with charming illustrations by Kurt Wiese. Emily Hahn, a prolific American writer, who lived an adventurous life in Shanghai and Hong Kong in the 1930s and 1940s. In 1945 she married Charles Boxer, head of the British Army Intelligence in Hong Kong. Kurt Wiese, German-born artist who lived in China from 1909 to 1915. A lovely copy, unusual with the dust-jacket.
