The spine & extremities of the dust jacket are slightly darkened. There are 2 light creases to the film surface of the dust jacket's front panel. 149 pages. Black-and-white maps & numerous color photographic illustrations by the author and others. The edges of the maps & the margins of the illustrations are darkened. Some top page corners are slightly bumped. Very good.

The following essays are contributed by other authors: The Geography of the Sahara by Dr. Karl Sutter, The Animals of the Sahara by Alexander Wandeler and The Rock Pictures of the Sahara by Dr. Hans Rhotert. Detailed notes on the illustrations are included in the book. A card listing brief captions is laid in. Very good .
