Hardcover, two volumes bound in blue cloth titled in gilt on the spines with a facsimile of Twain's signature on the front covers. The top edges are gilt. There is minor soiling & rubbing to the covers. xvi & 368 pages; and [viii] & 365 pages plus 2 ads. Illustrated with a photogravure portrait frontispiece of Twain, with a printed tissue guard, in each volume. Very good.

First editions, so stated, with the publication date indicated as "H-Y", August 1924. Speculative first state with 2 pages of ads in volume two, (BAL-3537). Very good .
