Circa [1920s]. [1920s]. - A 2 inch high by 4-7/8 inch wide slip of cream paper is signed in black ink "Anna Katharine Green Rohlfs". There are light glue stains & 2 small pieces of tape to the verso where the paper has been removed from an album. Very good.

Green signs with her married name. Her husband was`the actor and furniture-maker Charles Rohlfs.

Anna Katharine Green [1846-1935] was an American poet and novelist. She was one of the first writers of detective fiction in America and was noted for writing well plotted, legally accurate stories. She has been called "the mother of the detective novel". Very good .
