Uber-scarce in the trade, there being currently no additional copies available on-line, and neither does Worldcat dot org show availability otherwise. The author, Giuseppe Greatti, had this item published in Padua, Italy, undated. Italian language throughout. Fine printed paper and with card stock wraps, penned title, author and borders to front panel, two ink-blots at bottom. Measures 9 1/2" x 6 1/4" tall and wide, respectively, and quite bright and fine of interior. Other of his publications show dedications to the Paduan noblewoman Arpalice Savorgnan di Brazzà, who appears to have been something of a refuge of lost souls and radicals (Jacobins). The author, Giuseppe Greatti (1758–1812), was born in Friuli, Italy and was at points a government functionary, a librarian, a translator (including of El Cid) and a priest. He wrote other works of poetry and prose about education.
