The 11 plates depict: Mr. John Wheble (1746-1820). three individual horses, a goshawk, a terrier, American wolves, Fishery House at Lea Bridge,, and three other rural scenes. Articles address hunting techniques, animal behavior, sporting anecdotes, and even include relevant poetry. Remarkably intact for its age. Includes the bookplates of William Rigden and Frank Bibby. G- (Two ownership bookplates at front; edges worn, esp. at spine, some foxing esp. next to plates, but hinges are tight and pages are relatively clean and crsip.) .
