East Village Other was an underground newspaper from New York (duh), known for its early embrace of the counterculture and counterculture aesthetics, often using absurdist pieces to provide social commentary. As an early proponent of the underground comix movement, EVO published work by R. Crumb, Trina Robbins (neither in this issue) and others, as well as publishing a paper devoted to comix. This issue with front art by Andy Warhol; two brief statements by Abbie Hoffman and Rick Rubin, along with the announcement of the death of the Yippies and the birth of the Youth International Party; news on the trial of the Black Panther 21 in New York, theater, etc. GOOD condition. Horizontal fold crease present. Moderate toning. Paper a bit brittle. Mailing label present. Good .

Return policy:
Any book may be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund of book price. Buyer responsible for return shipping. For books misdescribed, or for wrong books sent, or any other errors on our part, we will refund book price plus return cost of shipping.
