An excellent introduction to scientifically sound collecting, describing and storing continental molluscs, written by the Swedish malacologist Carl Agardh Westerlund (1831-1908). Especially the chapter on malacological (shell) description, with explanation of many Latin words, is still very useful today. Provenance: stamp of the American malacologist Richard Irwin Johnson (1925-2020) in the top margin of the front free endpaper recto and front wrapper. A very good, clean copy in a nice binding.
