- Notice to Mariners. (No. 45). Light Discontinued. (Light at New Haven Long Wharf, Connecticut)

Washington, US Treasury Department, Publisher, 1859. Unbound. Single sheet, 8 ¼ by 11 ½ inches. Printed on laid paper. A notice to sailors that the light at Long Wharf in New Haven, CT was to be discontinued under the authority of the Treasury under the advisement of the Light-house Board. It appears an iron post was erected in 1854, and its use was discontinued from 1859 to 1861. A tower was eventually built, and is still in operation today. GOOD+ condition. Minor wrinkling, toning and edgewear. Good .

Wherever possible, we ship using first class international for $25.00, or the flat rate priority envelope through the US Post which costs $35.00. Return policy:
Any book may be returned within 30 days of receipt for refund of book price. Buyer responsible for return shipping. For books misdescribed, or for wrong books sent, or any other errors on our part, we will refund book price plus return cost of shipping.
