Exceptionally tight 'n' bright trade edition of the 1965 Limited Editions Club edition of the famed adventure novel first published in 1894. This incredibly unusual copy bears signatures from stars of no less than three different film versions of this novel, each on a fine heavy stock 5" X 3" card tipped to front flyleaf. Top to bottom: DOUGLAS FAIRBANKS JR. (1909-2000 -- portrays Rupert of Hentzau in the 1937 film) signs in black fineline; STEWART GRANGER (1913-93 -- portrays Rudolf Rassendyl/King Rudolf V in the 1952 film) signs boldly in black fineline, dating it 20 January 1985 at upper right; and ELKE SOMMER (born 1940 -- portrays Nathalie, Countess Montparnasse in the 1979 comic film) signs large and bold in black ink. Laid in is Granger's original transmittal envelope and the appropriate "Sandglass" issue. A gorgeous copy with great autograph additions. .
