A small hardcover book bound in blind-stamped black leather with gilt edges and a brass clasp. Edges rubbed; endpapers tanned and soiled. Tanning on pages 382-383 where a newspaper clipping was tucked. Corner of rear endpaper is torn. Otherwise, text clean and binding tight. The clasp still holds securely. Very good condition for its age. A scarce Catholic devotional from the mid-19th century, illustrated with black and white plates. Measures approx. 6" x 4.25. Very Good .
