Volume 10, no. 3 of THE NEW ENGLANDER from August 1852. Originally founded in 1919 as THE CHRISTIAN SPECTATOR, this literary journal eventually became THE YALE REVIEW, and is still published today. This issue contains articles on Francis Bacon, early Ohio pioneers, and the ethnic breakdown of the U.S. population, as well as literary notices on numerous Biblical studies. Fair .
