The bottom half of the spine has chipped off, and the edges of the boards are heavily scuffed. Earl;y owner's gift inscription on first blank page, dated 1882. Pages foxed, most heavily on the plates, but otherwise, text unmarked. Binding is tight, despite the damaged cover. OFFERED AS-IS. The 1855 edition of THE GIFT OF FRIENDSHIP, an annually published literary anthology from the mid-19th century, originally designed to be given as a present. Illustrated with occasional black and white plates. Measures approx. 6.75" x 4.6. Fair .
