Edges scuffed and lots of little rub marks on the boards. Convent label inside front cover. Several pages are nearly detached; most are still tightly bound. Occasional mild foxing and smudges, but otherwise clean. 20 issues of a catalogue of steel engravings of religious paintings, each accompanied by a poem by Benedictine monk Gall Morel. Text in German using the Gothic fraktur font. Undated, but appears to be from around the late 1800s. This copy belonged to Archbishop John B. Purcell of Cincinnati (1800-1883), whose inscription is inside the front cover. Fair .
