New York, Grosset and Dunlap, 1933. Vintage reprint. Hardcover. A hardcover book and dustjacket in very good condition. The book itself is near fine - clean, tight, unmarked save for an old gift inscription dated 1934. The dustjacket is clean and bright but lacks a 1x2 inch chip off the lower left of the back panel. Early Rex Stout novel, published a year before the first Nero Wolfe mystery. Stout's second book, this is a psychological thriller set in Montana. This is a vintage G&D reprint issued in 1933, the same year as the first edition. Very good .
