London, Longmans, Green and Co, 1902. New Edition. Leather bound. 395p. IN A FINE 3/4 RED MOROCCO AND CLOTH BINDING. Top edge gilt; decorated endpapers; gilt motifs and five raised bands on spine. Discreetly ex-libris. The only library markings are a seminary name stamped on the front endpaper and the title page and some glue residue on the rear endpaper and the base of the spine where labels were removed. The front free endpaper was cut off and has been neatly repaired with clear archival tissue. Binding firm and tight, pages clean and unmarked. A much nicer copy than the description of the imperfections may lead one to think! Newman's most famous work, here available in a fine early 20th century leather binding. Very good .
