Uber-scarce in the trade, there being only a single copy of this apparent First Edition available, and in only one library currently, in Lyon, France. Latin-language tome, a Catholic Church confessional, measuring 6 1/2" x 3 1/2" tall and wide, respectively. Bound in full leather, front board being bowed a bit, featuring five raised bands to spine, five fleurs-de-lis there, and short title ("manual") being stamped sharply into one compartment. Red and blue-speckled page edges, lightly wavy text-block, but clean and unmarked of interior but for first and final pages. Date of publication not stated, but appears to be c. 1766 according to a Worldcat dot org entry. Sharply penned inscription at first free endpaper dated to 1770 and then similar hand has penned extensive chronology at final page, verso and recto. I've done my best to state clearly and truthfully the condition of each and every book I have listed on-line. Sometimes, however, books change condition insofar as they sit on the shelf for a long time, get moved by customers, get taken to and from book fairs, and so on. Most orders will ship within one to two business days, but often times, they will go out on the same day as they are ordered. I've based my shipping costs on the assumption of books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1 KG. If your book order is heavy or oversized (extra thick, extra long, etc.), I may contact you to let you know that extra shipping is required. Bubble mailers and boxes will be expertly and securely wrapped and monitored. Please contact us if there is anything extra or different you need us to do.
