Modern paper-covered boards, title label on front cover. The first Swedish thesis dealing with Asia titled "the political preservation of the Asian world". Deals with the Asian empires: the Ottoman, Tartary, Persia, Japan and China. The works cover topics such as religion, politics, war and peace, customs, the liberal arts, etc. Andreas Norcopensis (1633-94), professor in practical philosophy and later Swedish state secretary. Printed dedication to Magnus Gabriel De la Gardie. At end a tribute to Wollimhaus by Johannes Schefferus. Very rare.
